XR Series knives are an extension of the XM series designed specifically for use in emergency rescue situations. Like the XM series, the XR-1 are precision balanced, lightweight, and tough. They take inspiration from the XM blades and have no spring-loaded opening mechanism or spring assisted lock to extend lifetime and provide a smooth blade deployment every time with little cleaning required. The XR was also manufactured with N690Co Cobalt enhanced, cryo-quenched, combination edge, stainless steel blades and lightweight Akulon 6G6 handles.
